The Vsett 10+, the flagship of this brand and one of our favorite performance scooters, has gone even further. In addition to the new look, it brings several improvements. Let’s start with better performance reaching a peak of 4300W after unlocking, being delivered by two 1500W motors. In ideal conditions, it can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h. The manufacturer remains faithful to hydraulic brakes. However, we are delighted to see spring suspension replaced with a fully adjustable hydraulic one. Simple operation, excellent suspension and sufficient torque make this scooter a fantastic machine both for the city and off-road riding. There is even a space for Airtag near the USB and USB-C ports on the steering rod, to protect it from theft
Body, design, and comfort
Just one look and all Vsett scooter fans inevitably notice different appearance compared to the predecessor of this model – the Vsett 10+. The manufacturer has changed its traditional yellow-black color combination to elegant and futuristic pure black finish. The chassis made of aviation-grade aluminum and magnesium can transport loads of up to 130 kg without problems. However, the scooter itself weighs 36 kg and, given its size of 130x65x129 cm, it is the most robust of the entire model range. Compared to the 9 Apex, it is 6 cm longer and almost 10 cm higher, while we should note that the 9 Apex is already visibly larger than the 8 Apex. The Vsett 10 Apex retains the same 10-inch pneumatic tires. No stones or potholes on the road will pose a problem as this scooter is equipped with front and rear suspension, including the option to set it according to one’s preference. This means that your adventures do not have to be limited to city roads, making it possible to hit the field roads and forest paths as well.
Power and range
The riding dynamics are taken care of by two brushless motors with a nominal power of 2x1500 W and a peak power of 4300 W after speed unlocking. These motors provide a top speed of 80 km/h (after unlocking). The range reaches 60 km with the smaller 60V and 20.8Ah battery. It should be noted that this is already a very decent performance. By opting for the version fitted with a larger 25.6 Ah battery, you can enjoy a range extended by 20 km. With it, making a few short trips per charge will be a piece of cake. Once empty, you will need 5-10 hours to fully recharge the battery. Should you ever reach the very limit of battery capacity, it will not give up on you just like that in the middle of the forest as this battery is swappable for easy replacement and charging. This means that you can carry a spare battery with you in a backpack.
Equipment and versatility
The equipment of the Vsett 10 Apex is as simple as possible, yet functional. The folding of the scooter, including handlebars, is very easy and hassle-free thanks to the clever system. However, this cannot be said of carrying the scooter. We must conclude that, given its length of 130 cm, a height of 57 cm, a width of 26 cm, and especially its weight of 36 kg, it is no pleasant task carrying it. There is a 3.5" LCD panel at the center of the handlebars, displaying clearly the current speed. The turn signal switches are newly-designed and you can easily control the lights using the button located near the throttle. The designers also had safety in mind. Stopping reliably ahead of any obstacle will be easy as pie thanks to hydraulic disc brakes both on the front and rear wheel. Moreover, the Vsett 10 Apex will not be surprised by any wet or dirt roads thanks to having a pair of fenders and IP54 rating. However, we agree with the manufacturer and advise that riding in the rain or through puddles should be avoided. It could permanently damage your battery, which is not covered by warranty repairs.
Our rating
Those looking for a companion for both well-maintained city roads and challenging off-road terrain will find their soul mate in the Vsett 10 Apex. It is clear at the first glance that you will look stylish on the road. Whether your journeys take you to work, to a forest or down the dusty field roads, you will enjoy the scooter’s simple control and overall pleasant riding feeling. We highly praise the new placement of the controller by the manufacturer. Yes, the Vsett 10+ had its faults, which the manufacturer paid due attention to. With the Vsett 10+ models, there was an occasional problem involving overheated controller. Although this problem was most often caused by improper scooter handling, the manufacturer listened to its customers and took into account how they handle these wonderful machines in practice. The proof of it is the placement of controllers on the sides of the deck, thanks to which they are cooled by air while riding and so the risk of malfunction is significantly lower. So, we definitely give this thumbs up.
Service
