The Dualtron Ultra 2 is one of the TOP models made by the Minimotors company, being the successor to the popular off-road electric scooter Dualtron Ultra V2. It now comes with an upgraded control unit moved to the footrest area, better LED lights, folding handlebars and double hydraulic disc brakes. The Dualtron Ultra 2 is the successor to the master of all off-road electric scooters, representing the pinnacle of technology. And it has finally arrived. With the two new state-of-the-art and extremely powerful BLDC 6640 W electric motors and a huge LG 72 V 35 Ah battery or 72 V 40 Ah battery, there is no hill the Ultra 2 scooter can’t conquer while providing you with an unrivaled range of up to 140 - 150 km (depending on the selected battery capacity). Body, design and equipment

As concerns the scooter’s design, the Minimotors kept a design similar to the first Ultra version but added some comfort and safety features. The Dualtron Ultra 2 also comes with a brand new and reworked frame designed to provide maximum durability and simple maintenance. To ensure maximum durability and safety, it is made of 6082-T6, a specially wrought aluminum that is similar to the one used in aircraft. The wheel shafts are made of SCM440, a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel with carbon admixture. Quality materials and precise workmanship give this scooter the rigidity necessary to ensure rider’s safety. The maintenance-free and durable elastomeric suspension, 11-inch, air-filled off-road tires with inner tube and comfortable ergonomic grips all contribute to your riding comfort. Other improvements include new electronic cooling and new engines. You can also fold the handlebars, which makes the scooter more compact and allows loading it into a trunk of a standard car without problems. Do not forget the newly added footrest at the rear, which comes handy particularly when accelerating – now you can see why the Dualtron Ultra V2 is the pinnacle of electric scooters! Like all Dualtron scooters, it is equipped with a large and easy-to-read EYE display manufactured in-house by Minimotors. The display shows all important data, such as speed, current gear, daily kilometers travelled (TRIP), total kilometers travelled (ODO) and the current battery level. Thanks to its high brightness level, the display stays legible even in adverse weather conditions. The scooter’s power is controlled by a popular finger lever that can also be used to operate cruise control. You can also connect the display to a fingerprint reader so that only you can unlock your scooter.

Combined with the electronic brake, you can be sure that you will always brake to a stop safely even at higher speeds. Another important safety element is the electronic ABS that prevents wheel locking when braking heavily. It goes without saying that safety requires proper lighting. The triple LED front light, rear lights and brake lights located at the back on the foot rest provide you with better visibility and safety you need, particularly during reduced visibility. The scooter also offers the option for less experienced riders to activate the so-called “Kick-start” feature preventing any unwanted start up and you can even reduce the scooter’s brutal power by using ECO button or by selecting a lower gear on the display. The functional fenders are a matter of fact. You will appreciate them especially when riding off the road or in bad weather. Should any unexpected rain shower catch you by surprise, you do not have to worry about your clothes getting dirty by splashing water. The easy-to-maintain step-on anti-skid surface preventing the rider from slipping in bad weather or extreme situation comes as a bonus.

You can be sure that the two BLDC motors providing 6640 W power will make you the king of any terrain without experiencing lack of power. Add to it the extremely durable and huge LG 72 V 35 Ah / 40 Ah battery giving you an amazing range of 140 km / 155 km and you will be ready for long and trouble-free rides wherever you decide to go! A range like that will give you the freedom to ride without having to worry about where to recharge your battery. The scooter has two charging ports supporting fast charging and a third, which is designed to connect an external battery. All ports are equipped with protective caps preventing dirt from entering inside. The battery does not suffer from any undesirable memory effect, which is why it will last many years, subject to proper charging and maintenance! Combined with a dual 40 A control unit made in-house by Minimotors and installed in the rear footrest for better cooling, the scooter allows the rider to ride at speeds of up to 100 km/h (depending on the rider’s weight, outside temperature and terrain).

Use and practicality

Given its solid structure and unbelievable performance, this is a very versatile scooter designed mostly for off-road riding. Thanks to its 2x2 drive, the Dualtron Ultra 2 will handle even a very steep climb. You do not have to worry about your scooter giving up on you on a longer trip. With its 11-inch and 90 mm wide off-road tires with inner tube, the Ultra 2 will provide you with excellent comfort, traction and safety. The tires are easily replaceable thanks to the modular structure of the wheels. You will love its very comfortable chassis, which you will be able to use both on cobblestones in a city or on challenging field roads. Despite the scooter’s versatility, its weight of about 40 kg may be a limiting factor for some riders as it is not that easy to carry this scooter or load it into a car trunk. Likewise, the scooter’s performance and robust design resulted in poorer compactness, meaning you will have difficulty taking it with you inside a restaurant and will have to lock it outside like a bicycle. With its size it still fits inside the trunk of a normal car, but do not expect much space left in it. Despite its bigger weight, this is still one of the best off-road scooters out there.

The Minimotors is known globally as one of the best and most reliable manufacturers of electric scooters. It was established in 1999 in Pusan (Busan) in South Korea.
